Before the Meetup

• Meet in a public place. Never meet at a private residence. Choose well-lit, busy locations like a coffee shop, bank lobby, or a designated 'Safe Trade Zone' at a local police station.
• Tell a friend or family member. Inform someone where you are going, who you are meeting, and when you expect to be back. Share the transaction details with them.
• Keep communication on the platform. While our app doesn't have chat, if you communicate beforehand, avoid sharing unnecessary personal information like your home address or personal phone number until you are comfortable.

During the Meetup

• Thoroughly inspect the item. Before you proceed to the final signature step, take your time to examine the item carefully to ensure it matches the description and is in the expected condition.
• Don't rush the process. Use the HIBIST app as intended. Complete the video verification and price agreement steps before exchanging the item and payment.
• Trust your instincts. If a situation feels uncomfortable or unsafe for any reason, cancel the transaction and leave immediately.
